Experiencing the spiritual essence
While most other activities of PaliGhar focus on outdoor and nature, we would also highly recommend sparing some time for visits to a few spiritual places. In the evening after a tea-session at a view-point overlooking the valley, one can take a 15 minutes walk from PaliGhar to a Temple dedicated to Lord Shiva (the creator of this world according to Hindu mythology).
The added beauty to this temple is that it also has a school for boys from different parts of the country and also neighbouring countries who are taught Sanskrit and to read/practice the Hindu scripts. In the evenings, we could join in to experience the evening prayers ‘aarati’ and also hear these students recite their prayers in a traditional manner.
There are also many Buddhist monasteries ‘Gumbas’ situated at a few kms from PaliGhar for which vehicles can be arranged. For interested clients, we can arrange for attending the morning or evening Buddhist prayers in these monasteries.
